CreteClean Plus with Scar Guard

Preparation

• Remove loose debris, soil, and fine grit from the area to be cleaned.
• Use only on hard surface floors other than natural wood.
• Surface & Air Temperature: Store and use between 40–80°F (4–26°C).
• Equipment: Wet mop, automatic scrubber, mop bucket, cotton mop head, non-aggressive polishing pad, or appropriate cleaning equipment.
• General Cleaning Dilution: 1 oz CreteClean Plus with Scar Guard per 1 gal of water.
• Poultice Cleaning Dilution: 4 oz CreteClean Plus with Scar Guard per 1 gal of water for severe oil staining.
• If using a wet mop, use only a cotton mop head and change the cleaning solution every 800–1,000 ft².

Standard Application Procedure

1. Remove debris from the area to be cleaned.
2. Dilute CreteClean Plus with Scar Guard at 1 oz per 1 gal of fresh water.
3. Apply the diluted cleaner by wet mop, automatic scrubber, or other appropriate cleaning method.
4. Clean the surface thoroughly and remove any excess diluted cleaner.
5. Allow the concrete surface to air-dry.
6. For enhanced results on concrete treated with Ashford Formula or the RetroPlate System, periodically burnish or buff the surface with a non-aggressive pad or polishing pad.

Poultice Cleaning for Severe Oil Staining

1. Remove all loose soil and fine grit from the affected area.
2. Mop down CreteClean Plus with Scar Guard diluted at 4 oz per 1 gal of water.
3. Agitate the solution to help the product penetrate the soil’s surface.
4. Cover the wet surface with plastic film and tape down the edges.
5. Allow the area to remain wet for 10–15 minutes or longer if possible.
6. Remove the plastic film and dispose of the soiled solution.
7. Repeat the procedure if soil leaches back to the surface as the concrete dries completely.

Single Dose Application

1. Remove debris from the area to be cleaned.
2. Fill the tank or bucket with the recommended amount of fresh water before adding cleaner to minimize unnecessary foaming.
3. Using the dosing meter on the bottle, dispense the proper dose into the appropriate size tank or bucket.
4. For mop and bucket cleaning, use 1.2 oz CreteClean Plus with Scar Guard Single Dose with 2–3 gal of water.
5. For auto scrubbers, use 6 oz with 10–19 gal of water or 12 oz with 20–30 gal of water.
6. Clean the surface using a mop, bucket, automatic scrubber, or other appropriate cleaning method.
7. For enhanced results, periodically burnish or buff the surface with a non-aggressive polishing pad.

Single Dose Poultice Cleaning for Severe Oil Staining

1. Remove all loose soil and fine grit from the affected area.

3. Agitate the solution to help the product penetrate the soil’s surface.
4. Cover the wet surface with plastic film and tape down the edges.
5. Allow the area to remain wet for 10–15 minutes or longer if possible.
6. Remove the plastic film and dispose of the soiled solution.
7. Repeat the procedure if soil leaches back to the surface as the concrete dries completely.

Maintenance

• Frequency of cleaning depends on the type and quantity of soilage.
• Acids, salts, deicers, and other harmful substances should be promptly removed to avoid damage to the floor.
• Several applications may be needed to remove severe oil staining. Additional treatment with an oil emulsifier, such as CreteStrip, may be necessary.
• When the product comes in contact with food handling surfaces, rinse the surface with potable water.
• Do not use on natural wood surfaces.
