SlurryDry

Slurry Solidification Agent

SlurryDry SSG™ is a non-hazardous super absorbent designed for the concrete polishing industry to solidify concrete slurry into stable, landfill-accepted solids. It quickly absorbs high-pH wastewater, reduces waste volume, and creates a non-flowing material that is easier to manage, transport, and dispose of.

Sizes:

40 lb bag

Coverage Rates:

1 lb / 5–10 gal of slurry

Dilution Ratio:

1 lb / 5–10 gal of slurry

Reduced Waste Volume
Only adds 1–3% to waste volume for decreased hauling costs.
Immediate Solidification
Solidifies immediately to help reduce processing time.
Landfill Compliance
Helps waste pass the EPA Method 1311 Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure.
Paint Filter Test Support
Helps pass the EPA 9095B paint filter test for compliant landfill disposal.
Stable Solid Formation
Forms a stable, non-flowing solid from concrete slurry that is easy to manage and dispose.
High Absorption Capacity
Absorbs 200–300 times its weight in high-pH wastewater.
Non-Leaching Formula
Accelerates evaporation in the landfill while helping reduce leaching.
Environmental Solution
Provides a non-hazardous solution for solidification of cement fines and silt.

Read all instructions and SDS information before use.

SlurryDry SSG™ should be handled according to the product’s safety and application instructions. Avoid creating or breathing dust during handling.

Preparation

  • Collect concrete slurry in a suitable containment drum, container, or pit.
  • Use a wet vacuum for slurry collection where appropriate.
  • If excess water has already been removed, reduce the recommended dosage as needed.

Standard Application Procedure

  1. Add 1 lb of SlurryDry SSG™ for each 5–10 gallons of slurry.
  2. Mix until all drying crystals have made contact with the water to begin absorption.
  3. Add additional SlurryDry SSG™ if a dryer consistency is desired.
  4. Continue mixing until the slurry has solidified, normally within less than 5 minutes.
  5. Once solidified, shovel the material into trash bags and dispose of it as normal construction waste where permitted.

Maintenance

  • Allow evaporation to continue over time to reduce the bulk weight of the solidified material.
  • Store and dispose of the solidified slurry according to applicable local waste disposal requirements.
  • Keep the product dry and properly sealed when not in use.
